UFC News – Conor McGregor wants to fight at Madison Square Garden later this year.

Contrary to a report on FS1’s UFC Tonight, multiple sources have confirmed that the Irishman is ready and willing to fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title on Nov. 12 in New York City.

The report stated that McGregor was nursing a leg injury, however, sources say McGregor is healthy and already training. The only fight that interests the featherweight champion at this time, though, is a fight against Alvarez for the 155-pound title. Alvarez also wants to fight McGregor at UFC 205, but he hasn’t been offered the fight.

Instead, Alvarez has been offered a fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov for later this year, but it is unclear whether that fight will come to fruition at this time.

McGregor began the year with the goal to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts at the same time. Unfortunately, an injury to then-lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos delayed those plans. He now wants to accomplish that goal in the “World’s Most Famous Arena.

The UFC has yet finalize the main event for its historic debut show at MSG. Their biggest draw of all-time, McGregor, is ready to fight, but as of now, he is being left off the card for undisclosed reasons.

One thing is for certain, though, McGregor is healthy.
